JDES 2015-2016 Yearbook‏

It is time to order a 2015-2016 JDES yearbook for your student!

Cost: $19.00

Two ways to order the 2015-2016 JDES yearbook:

1. Go to www.balfour.com and type “Jackson Davis Elementary” in the search bar. Order from there with a credit card.

2. Order envelope was sent home with your student. Complete order form and return with payment (cash or check) in your child’s folder. *Please place separate orders for each child by using one order form for each order.

Cost: $19.00 Make checks payable to “JDES PTA”.

NOTE: Name printing on the front cover is also available for an additional $5.00.

$24.00 total cost for yearbook and name on front cover. Maximum of 25 characters.Print your child’s name clearly on the order form.

The Yearbook Committee needs photos from school events!!

The link to upload photos is below.
 To upload the photos:
  1. Point your web browser to: images.balfour.com
  2. Enter our project number 617722 and password davis.
  3. Enter your contact information (if we need to contact you about your photos)
  4. Browse and select one or more images from your computer to upload (see reminders below)
  5. Add captions to each photo (who is in each, what was happening)
  6. Click Begin Upload to upload your images.

** The yearbook staff will review all photos and determine final yearbook content. We cannot guarantee that all submissions can be used in the book.

Image Reminders: – Images should be in JPEG format, RGB – Maximum file size is 20MB per image – Cell phone photos and photos for the web are usually too small to reproduce in the yearbook.

Jackson Davis Variety Show 2015-16

The JDES Variety show sponsored by the PTA, featuring music, comedy, poetry, dance, acrobatics—and more!
is around the corner……

The dates for the Variety show are:-

Auditions: October 5th and October 6th, 2015

Last date to submit the order forms: Monday, November 02, 2015.

Last date to submit the forms for variety show tickets is Monday, November 02, 2015  but will accept until Wednesday, November 04, 2015

 Rehearsal : November 5th, 2015
Dress Rehearsal: November 9th, 2015
Variety Show date: Thursday, November 12th, 2015

Timings: 6:30pm-8:30pm

Venue: School Cafeteria

PS: No act or song should exceed 3 minutes duration.

All the information and the forms will go home in September second week.

Clothing to CASH

Bring your old clothing, textiles, shoes and other cloth-type donations to the Clothing to Cash box, located in the school parking lot. The more we donate, the more money the school makes.

This is the perfect way to keep your old sheets, towels, ripped and overly worn clothing, shoes and other textiles out of our landfills and put to good, greener use!

Be sure to place all donations in a plastic bag before adding to the donation box.

2015 – 2016 Reflections Contest and Variety Show

As we approach the summer months, there are already plenty of ways you can get prepared for next fall.

The theme for the 2015 – 2016 Reflections Contest is “Let Your Imagination Fly”. Students should start thinking about and working on their projects in the areas of: music, literature, visual arts, photography, and dance. Another great way for your student(s) to express themselves is the annual Variety Show. Start practicing now for the show in the fall. The more students prepare over the summer, the easier it will be to shine in the fall.
