Welcome to the 2017-2018 School Year!

Can you believe school starts in 10 days?!  It’s going to be a great year. The Jackson Davis Elementary theme is “Our Future Looks Bright”…. I see lots of neon in our future!  Don’t forget– do your ZippSlipp paperwork so you can see your teacher assignment on Monday and join us for Open House on Thursday August 31 from 12:30-2:30. Stop by the PTA tent to join and snap a picture at our photo booth.

Please take some time to review out PTA website. Check out the executive board, calendar of events, and complete the volunteer form if you are interested in helping out in any way. We would love to have you!

The JDES PTA has been working hard this summer to complete some summer projects to support the teachers and implement a new online directory/store/communication system called MySchoolAnywhere. We are so excited about the opportunity to increase communication with all of our families! Please be on the look-out for an email asking you to confirm information. It is not spam! Remember, you can opt out of the email subscription at any time but must do so by visiting the website. This site also allows us to manage an online store that will allow parents to join the PTA, purchase yearbooks, and other items throughout the year. It’s so easy!

Our goals for the year are to increase communication and engage all families. Please reach out if you  have any suggestions or ideas!  Email us at: brightjdespta@gmail.com

Looking forward to seeing you soon!

Christina Vitek, JDES PTA President 2017-18
